Christos Greek Restaurant

Let me share a secret with you: my office is located 5 minutes from a Greek restaurant so outstanding that I enjoy two to three lunches there per week with my good friend Bic, who is able to hit a golf ball as far as the eye can see. My secret, Christos Greek Restaurant, has three locations in the Twin Cities; Minneapolis, St. Paul (which offers a lunch buffet) and Minnetonka (my favorite). Gus, the gracious owner, greets us most days and always thanks us for patronizing his family owned and operated restaurant. In addition to the fine food and warm reception, the service is courteous, the restaurant is clean, quality ingredients are used and value is outstanding. This balance of perfection is rarely achieved.

Christos offers traditional Greek cuisine, specialties from the island of Cyprus and traditional American food. Daily lunch specials are served with your choice of a home made soup or a house salad. A few of the soup selections are served seasonally, such as Gazpacho in the summer, Squash in the fall and Cream of Potato with Leek in the winter. Avgolemono (traditional egg-lemon-rice with chicken stock) and Tomato-Basil with Feta soups are served daily. My favorite lunch entrees are the Chicken Hash, Entrada (Cypriot Beef Stew) or any one of the pocket sandwiches. The Greek salad with Gyro meat or Chicken Breast is also worth a try, along with a warm appetizer sampler or chilled appetizer platter. Be sure to try out this secret of mine; you won’t be disappointed. If you visit the Minnetonka location, be sure to say hi to Gus!
